Dodgey Practice regularly play at Dartmouth Music Festival, where each year, a bursting at the seams crowd of music fans hail us as “best at the festival”. In July 2016, we’ve been asked back by popular demand, to entertain the crowds at Bovey Picnic in The Park.

Function Band F.A.Q’s

As an experienced Party Band, we have played for the select few at smaller parties as well as to a few thousand people at some festivals.

Dodgey Practice play a selection of funk, soul, disco and pop music – from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and up to the present day, our upbeat setlist means everyone will want to dance.

Take a look at the Setlist page for a better idea of what we play.

We usually divide our entertainment into 2 x 1hr sets, although for some events and festivals we will play one long set.
It takes the band approximately 2 hours to setup and sound-check to make sure we’re sounding great.

If you are booking Dodgey Practice for an event where the PA system will be provided, our setup times will be far shorter, and a stage plan with technical requirements can be provided on request.

We would suggest avoiding times when you and your guests might be eating, and also having too large a gap in between sets. So timings along the lines of:

Set 1 = 9-10pm
Set 2 = 10:30 – 11:30pm
